Tastes in music are as diverse as the colours of the rainbow. Most of us gravitate to a style of music that has a specific sound and lyrics that relate to how we feel at any given point in our lives. That’s why our music preferences can change dramatically as we tackle the various issues we go through.
Here at the Rock we try to cater for all tastes using the various styles and sounds to convey what our relationship with God means to us. Sometimes we want quiet, sometimes we want loud. But to be honest, most of the time, WE WANT IT LOUD! |
Our music is led by a group of talented young musicians and singers who are not afraid to use different styles in an environment which one would not usually think condusive to change. That’s why one minute we can be loudly ranting ‘I’m Walking on Sunshine’ and the next, singing thoughtfully, ‘Amazing Grace’.
You see, its important to keep up with the times and be relevant to the present generation, but every style is relevant if the lyrics say what you feel and the song connects you with what you believe. That's what matters. |
