The Dance Academy was not birthed primarily out of it's director's love for dance but rather as a vehicle to express the passion in their hearts towards God. Every creative and artistic talent that lies within us is but an imprint of our Creator's divine nature just waiting to be revealed.

Joel and Sarah Chapman, Academy Directors, know how to release that untapped potential. They don't just teach dance but explore every way in which dance can be used as an expression of worship to God.

Of course, technical excellence is fundemental, having been trained by world champions Matthew and Nicole Cutler, and this they uphold in every one of their classes. They are also aware though that God's view of excellence is measured by one's heart towards Him and therefore the most simplest routine danced in the right spirit can suceed in captivating the soul.

The academy now accomodates over 200 students and teaches a variety of styles to different levels of expertise. Whether Latin, Contemporary, Ballroom, Ballet or Jazz, there's something available for everyone.

Every student in the academy is given the opportunity to perform not only in it's annual student showcase, but weekly in the Rock's 'Communicating Life' family service. And for those who really want to get down to seriously practising their art, then the Dance Social on Saturday evenings is just the ticket.
